About the Business
Shimizu Flowers is a small, independent floral design shop in the historic town of Hastings, run by Mao Bramall. Mao was born in Japan and grew up surrounded by flowers in her family's florist shop, Shimizu Flowers. Mao discovered an inherited passion and talent for designing with flowers and learnt the trade from her Grandfather and mother before moving to England, where she went to Constance Spry flower School in Surrey.
After working as a florist for 10 years, Mao opened her own branch of Shimizu Flowers in Hastings, carrying on the family tradition of providing simple yet stunning floral art using the best quality flowers and foliage. Mao combines her knowledge and experience of both Japanese and English design to create original, modern floral displays that can enhance your wellbeing, home and business.
